All of the blooms are threaded with thin spindles of spider spinnings. They essentially use these blooms as bait to fish for pollinating bugs. I have not shot one close-up bloom that does not have spiderweb spindles on it. I never though of these woodland beauties as deathtraps for certain forms of life. Moral: Beware of Beauty (and hunger!)
