Sharon's recent focus has been in medical literature, a broad genre that permits patients and physicians to explore the often altered, yet invasive memory of medical experience. Sharon has studied writing at Sarah Lawrence College with Richard Selzer and Cornelius Eady, at Metropolitan State University, and independently. She has performed her poetry at The Loft, Intermedia Arts, over the airwaves on Write on Radio, and has curated literary events for the Mn Spoken Word Association.
Sharon facilitated creative writing and book making workshops with incarcerated women before enrolling in the Health Care MBA program at St. Thomas. By day, she manages mental health contracts for a public entity.
